Один мой знакомый по имени Leigh, встреченный как-то давно на вечеринке вдруг неожиданно обратился с вопросом:

In your life. Can you briefly describe a moment that was so awesome. a moment where you lived life to the max. a moment that you will love forever.

Leigh успел пожить во многих странах и ведет travel blog – своего рода коллекцию людей со всего света и их ответов на такие вопросы. Заставил задуматься. Много в жизни интересных моментов, но какой же самый так и не вспомнила.

Сижу в офисе недалеко от Victoria на шестом этаже с видом на туманный город, жую сэндвич и читаю Ксюшины рассказы про Тайланд.

Одна поездка на метро в Лондоне в час пик стоит от £2.30 (110 руб)
Проездной на неделю £25.80 (1240 руб), а на месяц £99.10 (4764 руб), а в год £1,032 (50 000 руб) и это только по зонам 1-2.. :-(

Но в рубли лучше не переводить, а то становится совсем нехорошо...

If You Could Collaborate is the fourth annual If You Could exhibition. Aiming to provide a platform for the finest creatives from all over the world to question their conventional working methods and outcomes. The contributors have been challenged to produce something a little unexpected, by working with a partner of their choosing from any discipline, profession or background. There is no brief to answer, or format to honour – the only limit being the enterprise and imagination of the artists involved, and a liberal 12 month deadline. Below are all of the pairings, and their outcomes.

Не такая масштабная и интернециональная, как Frieze art fair, но тем не менее. Судите сами. Слайдшоу.

Jonathan Burton, director of London Art Fair: “It’s been a tough year for galleries. There is a general agreement that prices across the international contemporary art market have fallen by 30-40% in the past year, Certain artists have held prices but in a broad sense, the contemporary art market has fallen.” Burton expects art sales in 2010 to be better than last year, just steady and slow compared to 2007. Buying art will be a more considered action, rather than a flurry of excitement – and this, Burton says, is a good thing. Отсюда.
